In the aftermath of the recent electoral results, controversy has erupted as BJP MP Nisith Pramanik attributed his defeat to alleged tampering with electronic voting machines (EVMs). Pramanik claimed that changes in EVMs were responsible for his unexpected loss, fueling ongoing debates about the reliability of the voting system.
Speaking at a press conference, Pramanik expressed his dissatisfaction with the electoral process, stating, "There were significant irregularities in the EVMs, which compromised the fairness of the election. We demand a thorough investigation into these discrepancies."
Contrastingly, Saumitra Khan, a fellow BJP leader, disagreed with Pramanik's assessment. Khan suggested that the defeat was due to strategic missteps rather than issues with the voting machines. He emphasized the need for introspection and better planning for future elections.
Khan remarked, "Blaming EVMs does not address the core issues. Our strategy needs to be revisited and refined. It's essential to understand the voters' concerns and align our campaign accordingly."
