CBI detains four AIIMS Patna students in NEET UG paper leak case

Four students from AIIMS Patna have been detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the NEET UG paper leak. The detained students, identified as Chandan Singh, Kumar Sanu, Rahul Anand, and Karan Jain, all third-year students, were apprehended after being questioned by the CBI. AIIMS Patna's Executive Director, Dr. G.K. Paul, confirmed the institution's cooperation with the investigation, stating that the CBI had prior information regarding the students' involvement.

The CBI's actions follow the arrest of Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky and primary accused Sanjeev Mukhiya, implicated in the paper leak scandal. The agency confiscated laptops and mobile phones belonging to the detained students for further investigation. Dr. Paul emphasized AIIMS Patna's commitment to aiding the investigation, describing the situation as serious and expressing surprise over the students' alleged involvement in suspicious activities.
