Clean Kolkata Green Kolkata - a vision that is shared by all citizens of the City of Joy. To boost this, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has started the "Parivesh Yoddha Yojana". Under this, the Municipal Corporation will provide training to students related to the environment with the help of Bose Institute, which will help in making Kolkata green and creating a city with clean air.
Parivesh Yoddha was started in Kolkata Municipal Corporation on Friday under the leadership of Mayor Firhad Hakim. On this occasion, apart from various professors of Bose Institute, MIC Swapan Sammadar, and students of various universities who are doing PhD in environment studies were present.
Swapan Sammadar said that this is a wonderful effort by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. "This will strengthen the environment to make it more green. Students will be given training by the Municipal Corporation. These students will later be called Parivesh Yoddha," he said.
