Illegal travel agency shut down in Salt Lake, 4 people arrested

Bidhannagar North Police have cracked down on an illegal travel agency, CPH Travel Corporate Pvt. Ltd, based in Salt Lake. The action followed a complaint by Rakesh Das, who reported being lured to the agency with promises of gifts and attractive membership deals.

Once there, Das and other unsuspecting customers were persuaded to buy memberships and luxurious holiday packages. Despite paying for these services, Das and others never received the promised benefits or a refund.

Realizing they had been scammed, Das filed a complaint with the Bidhannagar North Police Station. During the investigation, PSI Rakesh Saha discovered that the agency lacked legal documentation.

The suspects confessed to their fraudulent activities, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of incriminating evidence.
