Kolkata bus owners seek relaxation of rules for 15-year-old buses, file petition in High Court
Kiran Rao's directorial film Laapataa Ladies will be screened at the Supreme Court of India on August 9. The event will be attended by the director herself, along with producer Aamir Khan, who will interact with the audience after the screening. The movie, which explores the theme of gender equality, will be shown from 4:15 pm to 6:20 pm in the court's auditorium.
According to an official notice, Chief Justice of India and other judges, along with their spouses, will be present at the screening. The notice reads, “Laapataa Ladies' which is based on the theme of gender equality, will be screened on Friday, 9 August 2024 in the Auditorium, C- Block, Administrative Building Complex. Ms. Kiran Rao, who has directed the movie, and Mr. Aamir Khan, Producer, will also be present during the screening.”
Laapataa Ladies stars Nitashi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava in the lead roles, with Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma in key supporting roles. The film was well-received in theatres and topped the charts on Netflix upon its OTT release.
