Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started a psycho-analysis test of the main accused, Sanjay Roy. A team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Delhi is conducting the test.
Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer with a history of close ties to senior policemen, was arrested by the Kolkata Police shortly after the semi-naked body of the young doctor was discovered in the hospital's seminar hall.
Roy's connections within the police force led to his transfer to the Kolkata Police Welfare Board and his subsequent posting at the RG Kar Hospital outpost, where the horrific crime took place.
