Kolkata bus owners seek relaxation of rules for 15-year-old buses, file petition in High Court
In a major political development, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren announced on Wednesday his decision to launch a new political party amidst escalating tensions within the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the party with which Soren has been long affiliated.
Speaking to reporters, Soren clarified that while retirement was one of his options, he had decided against it, choosing instead to remain active in politics by forming a new political organization. He also hinted at potential alliances in the future, stating, "I had mentioned three options - retirement, organisation, or friend. I will not retire; I will strengthen the party, a new party, and if I meet a good friend on the way, then will move ahead with them." The decision comes amid growing uncertainty in Jharkhand's political landscape, with Champai Soren keeping his options open for collaborations with like-minded allies.
