Known for its sacred Jagannath Temple and the serene roar of the sea, Puri remains a top choice for Bengalees seeking a perfect blend of spirituality and relaxation. In response to the growing demand, Eastern Railway has taken a commendable step by introducing a special train service between Kolkata and Puri. This initiative is set to accommodate the increased number of travelers, offering an additional 13,000 berths. The new service will help ease the travel rush, ensuring that passengers can reach their destination comfortably during the festive period.
The special train 03101 Kolkata – Puri will depart from Kolkata at 23:50 hrs every Thursday from October 3rd to November 28th, 2024, arriving in Puri the next morning at 09:35 hrs. The return service, 03102 Puri – Kolkata Special, will leave Puri at 15:00 hrs every Friday from October 4th to November 29th, 2024, reaching Kolkata by 02:00 hrs the next day.
The train will stop at Andul, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Khurda Road stations, offering a range of accommodations including Air-conditioned, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class. Travelers can book their tickets for 03101 Kolkata – Puri Special through PRS counters and online platforms, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.
