In a tragic and mysterious incident, 19-year-old Anika Rastogi, a third-year LLB student at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow, was found dead in her hostel room. Anika is the daughter of a senior IPS officer, currently serving as the Inspector General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi.
The unsettling discovery was made when Anika’s friends noticed she hadn’t responded to their knocking. Concerned, they broke the door and found her lying unconscious on the floor. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The news has sent shockwaves through the university and beyond, given Anika’s connection to a high-ranking officer.
Currently, the exact cause of death remains unclear. The body has been sent for postmortem, and authorities are awaiting the results to determine the cause. The police are investigating the case from every possible angle. Anika’s family has already reached Lucknow to be with the university and law enforcement as they continue their inquiries.
