Besides Sandip Ghosh, who are the other 3 arrested by CBI in RG Kar case?

Infamous ex-principal of RG Kar Medical College, Sandip Ghosh, has finally been arrested after weeks of marathon grilling by the CBI. Although this move was welcomed by the protesters, Ghosh being nabbed for financial irregularities and not the rape and murder case mishandling is not sitting well with the ones demanding justice.

Meanwhile, Ghosh isn't the only person arrested by CBI. According to reports, the central probe agency made 4 arrests including Ghosh. The other three are identified as Biplab Singha, Suman Hazra, and Afsar Ali Khan. While both Bipalb and Suman are vendors of RG Kar Hospital, Khan is the bodyguard of Sandip Ghosh.

A video of Afsar Ali Khan, who was allegedly a bodyguard of Ghosh, has gone viral where he was seen threatening a former principal. Former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Hospital, Akhtar Ali, alleged that Afsar Ali was involved in selling bio-medical waste products from the hospital.

In 2023, Akhtar Ali had also written to the state vigilance department. In the letter, he alleged massive corruption in RG Kar hospital and complained about Suman Hazra, Biplab Singha, and Afsar Ali’s involvement in financial irregularities.
