India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
Actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty has joined the ongoing protest in Kolkata, demanding justice for the trainee doctor who was allegedly raped and killed at RG Kar Hospital. The BJP leader, who has been actively voicing his concerns since the incident, participated in a rally attended by hundreds of people, reflecting the widespread agitation across the state.
Speaking at the rally, Chakraborty emphasized Bengal's fight against injustice. He highlighted how the people of West Bengal are no longer afraid to raise their voices, stating, "This Bengal is a Bengal that fights against injustice. Until now, our voices have been suppressed. Now, people are not afraid. This protest will not stop until we get justice."
The actor, who joined the BJP in March 2021, has been vocal in criticizing the West Bengal government for its handling of the case.
Last month, Chakraborty condemned the administration, saying that the condition in Bengal would deteriorate if justice wasn't served. He expressed deep sympathy for the victim’s family, urging authorities to arrest and punish those responsible.
