Nabanna has called the protesting doctors to a meeting on Thursday at 5 pm in front of the health building, but their demand for a live broadcast has been rejected. Instead, the meeting will be recorded, as stated in the official communication from the government.
This decision comes despite the agitators' conditions for live streaming being unmet. Nabanna's letter also referenced a Supreme Court order related to the issue, emphasizing the importance of following legal guidelines.
State Chief Secretary Manoj Pant addressed the protesting doctors in a letter on Thursday, expressing the government's willingness to meet with them. Pant highlighted the urgency of addressing the health system's management, while also noting that the directives from the Supreme Court must be respected.
He further mentioned that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been waiting at Nabanna for the past two days, ready to meet the doctors' representatives for negotiations.
