Rule barring gathering of 5+ people around RG Kar extended till September 30

Prohibitory orders around RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in north Kolkata have been extended until September 30, officials confirmed on Saturday. The restrictions, which prohibit gatherings of more than five people, were first imposed on August 18 following protests over the rape and murder of a doctor at the hospital.

Authorities have urged the public to adhere to the restrictions.
