Maddock Films has announced that Stree 2 has become the 'number one Hindi film of all time' in India. On Wednesday, the production company shared a poster of the film on X and celebrated the achievement.
The film, which stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has surpassed the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan in terms of Hindi language earnings.
Stree 2 has earned ₹586 crore at the Indian box office. This figure exceeds the lifetime nett collection of Jawan in Hindi, which stands at ₹582.31 crore.
However, Jawan, an action thriller directed by Atlee, still leads in overall nett collections across all languages (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu), totaling ₹640.25 crore.
Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles and includes an ensemble cast with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra. Despite Stree 2 achieving this milestone, Jawan remains a significant box office hit with its extensive language coverage and overall earnings.
