Around 1:40 pm today, Ultadanga Police Station received a report about a person found lying inside a deserted, bushy area near Kolkata Railway Station. Upon receiving the information, cops rushed to the scene to investigate.
The officers discovered a male, approximately 40 years of age, lying on the ground with a black wire used as a ligature around his neck. The wire was tied to a tree, and there were no other visible injuries on the body. The circumstances surrounding the death are currently unclear, and the police have begun a thorough investigation.
Authorities are treating the situation with urgency. Arrangements for conducting an inquest and post-mortem examination are underway to determine the cause of death.
