Bengal govt reshuffles 6 senior IPS officers; Devendra Prakash Singh appointed Addl. CP of Kolkata

The West Bengal government has ordered the transfer and new postings of six senior IPS officers in a recent reshuffle. Devendra Prakash Singh, who served as IGP of the West Bengal Traffic Department, has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police in Kolkata.

Gaurav Sharma, previously IGP of the Special Task Force (STF), will now take over Singh’s former role as IGP, of Traffic. Tathagata Basu, formerly SP in the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, has been promoted to DIG rank and transferred to OCW.

Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi, previously SRP in Howrah, has been assigned as CO of the SAP 6th Battalion. IPS officer Pushpa, who served as DC in the 3rd Battalion of Kolkata Armed Police (KAP), has been posted as SRP, Howrah.

Dr. Kunwar Bhushan Singh, formerly DC in the Combat Battalion in Kolkata, will now serve as SRP, Siliguri.
