BJP's Roshan Lal Chaudhary files nomination in Barkagaon, accuses MLA Amba Prasad of corruption

BJP candidate Roshan Lal Chaudhary filed his nomination for the Barkagaon Assembly seat on Friday at the Ramgarh sub-divisional office. This marks a pivotal moment in the upcoming elections as Chaudhary had previously submitted another set of nominations on Thursday, timed with an auspicious moment to garner public support. He was joined by his brother, Giridih MP Chandrak Prakash Chaudhary, and BJP district president Praveen Mehta, emphasizing the party's consolidated efforts in the constituency.

In a press conference, Chaudhary made strong allegations against incumbent MLA Amba Prasad, claiming that her family is involved in corrupt practices. He described the Prasad family as "theatrics," asserting that their alleged corruption has led to the sealing of their bank accounts. This statement aims to raise serious questions about the integrity and credibility of the current representation in Barkagaon, positioning Chaudhary as a viable alternative.

Chaudhary highlighted his longstanding connection to the constituency, stating that despite losing elections for the past 20 years, he has remained present among the voters, addressing their concerns and challenges. He emphasized his commitment to being a reliable figure in the community, actively working to resolve public issues and ensure that the voices of the constituents are heard.

In discussing the achievements of the previous BJP government in Jharkhand, Chaudhary pointed out that significant developmental projects were initiated during his tenure alongside Sudesh Mahto, the AJSU Supremo. He noted that these projects, which included investments in infrastructure and public services, significantly improved the living standards in Barkagaon. This track record serves as a cornerstone of his campaign, as he seeks to remind voters of the benefits they experienced under BJP leadership.

Chandrak Prakash Chaudhary echoed his brother’s sentiments by targeting the current government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He accused the Soren administration of failing to deliver on crucial promises regarding employment opportunities for youth, reservation for women, and financial assistance for farmers. He underscored that many young people remain jobless, while women and farmers feel neglected, contributing to rising discontent among the electorate.

The Giridih MP also highlighted multiple corruption scandals that have surfaced under Soren's governance, particularly involving the management of natural resources such as sand, iron, coal, and land. He stated that several officials and ministers have faced legal repercussions due to their involvement in these scandals. This growing public outrage against the incumbent government, coupled with the BJP’s renewed focus on accountability and development, positions both Roshan Lal Chaudhary and Chandrak Prakash Chaudhary as key figures in the fight for a Barkagaon victory in the upcoming elections.
