On Monday morning, a passenger named Shailendra Chowdhury, aged 45, fell from the moving Down Gangasagar Express at Burdwan Station. The incident occurred shortly after the train departed from platform number 5. Chowdhury, who hails from Raghuapur-Itahar village in Madhubani district, Bihar, was attempting to disembark when he lost his balance and fell between the train and the platform.

Fellow RPF officer Yogesh Kumar also joined her in the rescue effort. Together, they acted quickly to reach Chowdhury and successfully pulled him to safety before the train could move further down the track.
