A fourth-grade girl was abducted in the Bihata area of Patna, Bihar, but managed to escape after her abductors’ vehicle got stuck in traffic. The incident occurred when the girl, a student of a private school, was on her way to school. Three men traveling in a Scorpio vehicle approached her under the pretext of asking for directions and then forcibly abducted her. After getting into the vehicle, the girl was confined to the trunk as the kidnappers fled.
The vehicle, however, got caught in a traffic jam, which delayed their escape. During this time, the girl managed to open the trunk and escaped. Once free, she ran to a nearby mall, where she sought help from people inside. The girl informed them of her abduction, and they assisted her in contacting her family, who immediately alerted the police.
The girl's family filed a formal complaint with the local police, reporting the abduction. The police registered a case of kidnapping and began an investigation. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area in an effort to identify the three suspects involved in the crime. Police are also investigating the motive behind the abduction and examining any other relevant evidence.
The girl's mother, Nowsheha Khatoon, confirmed that her daughter had been abducted while she was on her way to school in the morning. After the girl escaped, she informed her family of the incident. The family promptly reported the matter to the police and filed an FIR against the unknown abductors.
The police have stated that their investigation is ongoing. Efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects are in progress. Authorities are also focused on ensuring the safety of children in the area, with additional security measures under review. The case remains under investigation, with the police continuing to collect evidence and pursue leads to catch the abductors.
