5,000 Pakistani soldiers resign amid fear of Indian retaliation
A 75-year-old woman, Fuljan Bibi, was found murdered inside her residence in Palladaha village, North 24 Parganas, under Jetia police station limits. The discovery was made on Friday morning when her younger daughter, Rachiya Bibi, came to check on her. According to Rachiya, her mother usually locked the door while sleeping, but that day, she found the door open and slightly ajar.
Inside the house, Rachiya found Fuljan Bibi lying on her bed with her throat slit. She initially thought her mother had suffered a medical emergency but noticed the fatal injury. Police were immediately informed and recovered the body for further investigation. No signs of forced entry, robbery, or struggle were reported from the house, and the exact time of death is yet to be determined.
Fuljan Bibi lived alone, and her family stated that she had no known disputes, valuables, or enemies. Jetia police have started an investigation, collecting evidence from the crime scene and questioning neighbors and relatives. The motive behind the murder is unclear, and no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are awaiting post-mortem results to determine additional details regarding the crime.
