Drunk youths crash car in New Town, attack female cop at police station
Four private schools in Noida—Step By Step School, The Heritage School, Gyanshree School, and Mayoor School—received bomb threats via email on Wednesday morning. Authorities were alerted, and students, staff, and visitors were immediately evacuated as a precaution. The Noida Police, bomb disposal squads, fire brigade teams, and other security agencies were deployed to inspect the premises. After thorough searches, no explosives or suspicious objects were found, and officials confirmed that the threats were hoaxes.
A police statement confirmed that bomb detection teams, disposal squads, dog squads, and fire department personnel arrived at the schools soon after receiving the alerts. The affected schools coordinated with authorities to conduct the evacuations in an orderly manner. A message from the principal of Mayoor School informed parents that students and staff were safely gathered on the field before being sent home via school buses. The Heritage School also issued a statement assuring that all students had been safely evacuated and that dispersal would take place after buses were sanitized.
Cybercrime teams have begun tracing the source of the emails and are investigating potential links to previous hoax threats. The Noida Police urged parents and students to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information. Security checks continued after the schools were declared safe, and additional precautionary measures were implemented. Some schools resumed normal operations following the inspections. Officials confirmed that all protocols were followed, and no credible threat was found.
This incident follows a series of similar threats sent to schools across Delhi-NCR. In recent months, multiple schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email. A Class 12 student was previously detained for sending threats to at least 23 schools in an attempt to cause panic. In December, Delhi Police confirmed that a hoax bomb threat to Venkateshwar Global School was linked to two students who wanted to postpone exams. Since May 2024, over 50 bomb threats have been emailed to schools, hospitals, and airports in Delhi-NCR.
Authorities have intensified security measures and are analyzing whether the Noida threats are connected to previous incidents. Investigations are ongoing, and police have stated that strict action will be taken based on findings. Security monitoring has been increased in educational institutions, and officials continue to track online threats to prevent further disruptions.
