The body of 48-year-old Raghunath Pal, a CISF jawan stationed at Kolkata Airport, was found hanging at the International Cargo Building this morning. Pal, a resident of Hirapur in East Bardhaman, was discovered by CRPF personnel on the third floor of the building. The personnel immediately alerted the local NSCBI police station, and officers arrived promptly to recover the body.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Initial reports suggest that Pal had been facing significant financial difficulties due to accumulating debts, which had reportedly caused him considerable mental stress. Authorities are questioning several individuals, including Pal’s colleagues and family, to gather more information about the circumstances leading up to his death.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the police are awaiting the official examination report. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, which they are currently treating as a suicide. Further details will be provided once the investigation is complete.
