IND vs NZ 3rd T20I: Shubman Gill smashes hundred in 54 balls
The Men in Blue couldn't ask for a better start as opener Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put up a 200+ runs stand against New Zealand in the 3rd and final ODI of the series. The Indian skipper finally scored a century after waiting a long time. He smashed 101 runs in 85 balls. Shubman Gill, who has been in brilliant form so far has smashed 112 runs for just 78 balls. A total of 33 boundaries were hit by both.
Shubman Gill also equaled the record for most runs in a bilateral 3-match ODI series as his total comes down to 360 runs. Babar Azam also scored 360 runs against West Indies in 2016. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma equaled the record of Ricky Ponting for third most centuries in ODIs. He now has 30 centuries and is only behind Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.
