Hazaribagh police detain mukhiya after 7 girls escape correctional home

Lohsigna police today arrested the mukhiya of Chandaul panchayat in Barkagaon, Basudev Yadav in a case related to the escape of seven girls from a correctional institution (Swadhar Griha) near Kallu Chowk in Hazaribag.

It is worth noting that a total of seven girls ran away on November 21 last year, three of them were later found by the police and the rest are still missing. One of the girls who ran away had an affair with the mukhiya's son Karan Yadav. This resulted in a legal battle between the duo's families, with Karan being released on bail recently.

As the girl's family filed charges against Karan and his father for the girl's escape from Swadhar Griha, the Lohsigna police investigated the case to get some leads in this case. The police recently found the mukhiya calling the girl's cell phone through Instagram. Even the girl also called him and talked to him. This prompted the police to arrest the mukhiya.

Sources said the police also learned that the girls used a black SUV to escape after leaving the correctional facility. They said they have received much more surprising information about this case and will soon share it with reporters. After his arrest, the mukhiya denied having any connection with the girls' escape. I never spoke to her and also had no role in this case, he added. My son is giving me trouble, he added.

Lohsigna officer, Arvind Kumar Singh, said that they will come out with all the facts related to this case soon.
