Guv calls Mamata 'Lady Macbeth of Bengal', says will socially boycott her
The state police on Thursday warned people against posting provocative, objectionable and hateful messages on social media platforms and asserted that stern action would be taken against those trying to disrupt peace in the state.
Talking to reporters, Nayyar Hasnain Khan, ADG, Economic Offenses Branch of the state police said that cyber cell sleuths are keeping a close eye on people's online activities and will do what is necessary to prevent trouble.
“Bihar Police will take strict action against those who spread hate messages or upload provocative, false and inappropriate posts on social media platforms. Such posts happened to be the main cause of disruption of peace and harmony in the society,” the ADG said.
The ADG further warned people not to fall prey to organized gangs of cyber criminals. “EOU's cyber cell was creating awareness among people about the modus operandi of fraudsters. We still tell people not to share their bank accounts, debit cards, credit card details with strangers,” he said.
