Hemant Soren government to launch ‘job portal' in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand government is set to launch a dedicated 'job portal' on Friday to bring together a common platform for job seekers and employers, an official said.

The portal will aim to ensure 75 percent employment of local candidates in the state private sector, he said. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will unveil the portal in his chamber in the Assembly, an official said.

It was designed by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Training and Skills Development. Employers can share information about business, manpower and vacancies on the portal, while job seekers can post their applications by registering themselves, an official release said.

Employers using the portal will have to follow the Jharkhand State Employment of Local Candidates in Private Sector Act, 2021.

The Act applies to shops, establishments, mines, undertakings, industries, companies, societies, trusts, limited companies, partnerships and all persons employing 10 or more people in the private sector, the official added.
