Due to anticipated elections in Punjab province, Pakistan changed the schedule for its limited-overs cricket series against New Zealand on Monday.

The series will now begin in Lahore on April 14 rather than Karachi as originally planned due to the one-day delay.

Lahore and Rawalpindi, two of the three locations for the series, are located in Punjab, where elections are likely to take place starting on April 30.

The five Twenty20 international matches and the same number of one-day international matches will be adjusted, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced in a press statement.

From April 14 to 17, the sides will now play three T20 matches in Lahore before moving on to Rawalpindi, where they will play the final two T20 matches and the first two ODIs from April 20 to 26.

From April 30 to May 7, Karachi will host the final four One-Day Internationals.
