Boat carrying 40 passengers capsizes in West Champaran, 1 woman missing

A tragic incident occurred in West Champaran on Saturday as a boat carrying 40 people capsized in the river. All the passengers were on their way to Diyara for farming purposes when the accident happened.

One woman, Subhavati Devi, sustained serious injuries in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at the sub-divisional hospital of Bagha. However, another woman is still missing and locals believe that she has drowned in the river. 

The SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) has been called in to search for the woman. Meanwhile, the riders and the sailor of the unregistered boat managed to escape after the accident. 

The local police have registered a case in this regard and are searching for the riders and sailors of the boat. They are also looking into if any negligence was involved with regards to the maintenance of the boat which ultimately resulted in this tragedy.
