On the first day of her Jharkhand tour, President Draupadi Murmu received a heartfelt welcome in Deoghar, known as the city of Mahadev. She performed special prayers at the revered Baba Baidyanath Temple, following the Shodshopachar method. The Temple Shrine Board felicitated the President with traditional attire and a memento.

President Murmu is the fourth President to visit Deoghar, following Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, and Mr. Ramnath Kovind, who have also sought blessings at the sacred Baba Baidyanath Temple.

The city was fortified with tight security arrangements in anticipation of the President's arrival, overseen by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri. Honorable Governor Mr. CP Radhakrishnan, Union Law and Justice Minister Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal, and other prominent officials were present during the visit.

President Murmu's visit to the temple signifies her devotion and prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the country. The event marked a significant moment for the people of Deoghar and the devotees of Baba Baidyanath.
