Mednipur blast: CID team engaged in search of two nephews of Bhanu

• The CID is continuously conducting raids in the investigation into the death of 12 people in the explosion at the Egra firecracker factory in East Mednipur

• The wife of the main accused late factory owner Bhanu Bagh was caught. After that the search for his two nephews has been intensified

• The entire family of Bhanu Bagh used to run this illegal factory together which included brothers, nephews, brother-in-laws and others

The CID is continuously conducting raids in the investigation into the death of 12 people in the explosion at the Egra firecracker factory in East Mednipur.

A day earlier on Wednesday, the wife of the main accused late factory owner Bhanu Bagh was caught. After that the search for his two nephews has been intensified.

A CID source said that Bhanu's wife Geeta Rani Bagh has already been arrested. Apart from him, his son Prithviraj and nephew Indrajit have also been arrested. Now the search is on for his two other nephews. There is news that they are also hiding in Odisha.

The entire family of Bhanu Bagh used to run this illegal factory together which included brothers, nephews, brother-in-laws and others.

Five people have already been arrested in the case and search has been intensified for the rest. It is learned that these two nephews have been involved in the transportation, collection and supply of explosives. By interrogating them, it will be ascertained from where they used to bring explosives and how they used to collect them avoiding the eyes of the police.
