Sister Nivedita University marks its 5th foundation Day

The fifth foundation day of Sister Nivedita University, the foremost among the state's new universities, was celebrated with thousands of students at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre on Wednesday.

Chancellor Shri Satyam Roychowdhury announced that the university's aim is to make it an international university by increasing linkages with other academic institutions and industries. 

Shri Sobhandev Chattopadhyay Minister of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal was the Chief Guest of the program. The university toppers were awarded certificates and prizes.

H.E. Prof. Adam Burakowski, Ambassador of Poland to India,  in the keynote address mentioned that students and faculties of SNU would get research opportunities in the Tagore Centre in Poland.  Dr. Mary Conway Dato-on, Faculty- Director, The Global Links Initiative signed a Letter of Intent for conducting women empowerment programs jointly with SNU for women Entrepreneurship.
