No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
In Neemtalla Ghat Street, Jorabagan, the once-happy home of Prashant and Neha Jain has turned into a battleground, with their 11-year-old daughter, Nishita, caught in the crossfire. The family's escalating conflicts have led to a distressing situation where the young girl finds herself living like a prisoner within her own home.
The recent bout of violence unfolded when Prashant returned from Jharkhand to celebrate Diwali with his daughter. However, instead of a joyous reunion, he was met with the shock of finding half a dozen locks on the gates, preventing his entry. What was meant to be a celebration turned into a standoff between the parents, leaving Nishita in a state of fear and despair.
The couple's tumultuous relationship has roots in a separation decision made almost 12 years into their marriage. Prashant, facing unemployment, alleges that Neha has locked him inside the house, making it impossible for him to seek employment or contribute to expenses. He has also alleged that Neha has beaten him and he is not getting any help from the police.
