On Monday, Ghatal MP Dev posted on social media stating that the people of Ghatal would have to wait another 4–5 years as the Centre is not releasing funds for the Ghatal Master Plan. Responding sharply, BJP MLA Hiranmay Chattopadhyay alleged that Dev is lying and claimed that the Centre had already allocated crores of rupees for the Ghatal Master Plan in 2022.
