A strange case of vandalism inside a Kolkata Metro train has left both passengers and authorities puzzled. On June 27, a man dressed in a dark blue shirt and jeans was seen taking out a can of spray paint from his backpack and spraying it directly on the door of a metro coach. The incident occurred in front of other commuters, who were left shocked by his actions.
The entire episode was captured on the metro's CCTV cameras. Kolkata Metro officials, upon reviewing the footage, immediately began tracing the individual and reported the matter to Kolkata Police. Public Relations Officer Rupayan Mitra confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, but authorities are still uncertain about which train the incident occurred on.
At this point, the motive behind the act remains unknown. Was it a protest, an act of mischief, or something else entirely? Officials have yet to find any connection to a larger agenda, and no arrests have been made so far.
The incident has raised questions about security measures and monitoring inside metro coaches. Authorities are urging passengers to report any suspicious behaviour to ensure public safety and prevent similar events in the future.
