Angry mob vandalises TMC leader's house, sets fire over corruption allegations
An Air India flight, AI612, bound for Mumbai from Jaipur, made an unscheduled return to Jaipur airport shortly after takeoff on Friday, following a suspected technical snag. The aircraft, which departed Jaipur, experienced an indication of a technical issue mid-air, prompting the pilots to take precautionary measures and return to the originating airport.
In a statement, Air India confirmed the incident, clarifying, "Flight AI612 operating from Jaipur to Mumbai returned to Jaipur shortly after take-off due to a suspected technical issue. Troubleshooting checks were carried out, and it was determined to be a false indication." A 'false indication' typically refers to a system alert or warning that is triggered without an actual underlying technical malfunction, but airlines prioritize safety by addressing all such warnings.
Following thorough checks by engineers upon landing, the aircraft was cleared for operations. Air India emphasized that passenger safety remains the airline's top priority in all its operations. After being deemed safe, the flight subsequently continued its journey to its destination in Mumbai, minimizing the disruption for the passengers.
