A man was arrested with counterfeit currency worth approximately ₹2 lakh hidden inside a mango crate on a government bus traveling from Malda to Asansol. The arrest was made at the South Bengal State Transport Corporation (SBSTC) bus depot near Jubilee More on National Highway 19.

The accused, identified as Rajendra Prasad, is a resident of Nituriya in Parbelia, Purulia.
