In a sharp and comprehensive critique of the Union Government, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee took to social media to launch a scathing attack on its policies and priorities. In a series of tweets, he not only condemned a proposed "draconian constitutional amendment bill" but also questioned the government's resolve on national security and its alleged misuse of power.

Banerjee began his attack by criticizing the government's stance on national security. He tweeted that despite having the support of the opposition parties and the entire nation, the Union Government "still lacks the courage to reclaim PoJK." He accused the ruling party of "hollow rhetoric" and showing no real resolve when it comes to "defending India’s sovereignty" and "acting firmly against our enemies."

The TMC leader then shifted his focus to the government's priorities. He stated that instead of fulfilling its constitutional responsibility and working for the genuine development of farmers, workers, and the poor, the government is "solely interested in amassing POWER, WEALTH AND CONTROL WITHOUT ANY ACCOUNTABILITY." He strongly condemned this attitude and expressed his opposition to the constitutional amendment bill.

Banerjee also made a serious allegation about the misuse of central agencies. He claimed that after failing to misuse the Election Commission to implement a voter revision process (SIR), the government has now "activated another 'E' — ED" to bring in laws that target opposition leaders. He accused the government of using these agencies to "crush democracy and manipulate the people’s mandate by toppling State Govts."

In his broad critique, he went on to label the government as "anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-poor, anti-SC, anti-ST, anti-OBC, anti-FEDERAL and above all ANTI INDIA." This extensive condemnation touched upon various social, economic, and political issues, portraying the government as being against the very fabric of the nation.

He concluded his tirade with a strong warning to the electorate. He declared that "one vote to the BJP is nothing less than SELLING THE SOUL OF INDIA" and accused the party of "selling the Constitution" and allowing India to be run as the "private property in the hands of INCOMPETENT OBSESSIVE TYRANTS!" He concluded by invoking the ideals of Gandhi and Ambedkar, stating that INDIA built on their principles "will not surrender its soul to dictators and power-hungry rulers."
