Arup Biswas is fearing arrest! Skips' appearance in Messi case citing illness
On the day of MLA Jiban Krishna Saha’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, the Trinamool Congress criticized the BJP government for its handling of central agencies. Trinamool MP and All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee accused the BJP of following a “double E” strategy, explaining, “The first E is the Election Commission, the second is the ED. When the EC does not deliver desired outcomes, the ED is unleashed.”
Abhishek further stated that the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill is not aimed at curbing corruption but at eliminating opposition parties. He added, “The purpose of using the ED is not to check corruption.” The party described the ED’s action against Saha as politically motivated and vowed to continue opposing what it perceives as misuse of central agencies.
