UK PM Starmer pledges all British Universities to open campuses in India

During his high-profile official visit to Mumbai, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer made a landmark announcement, stating that all British universities will be establishing campuses in India. Starmer reiterated that the primary objective of his visit and the broader strategic focus is to leverage the free trade agreement (FTA), which was formally signed in July and is slated to come into effect next year. When asked directly about visa negotiations, Starmer was unequivocal, stating, "That isn't part of the plans," thereby steering the focus back to capital investment and academic exchange.
