Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraj party has released its first list of 51 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Popularly known as PK, Kishor, who was poll advisor for both BJP and JD(U), has already announced to contest on all seats. The Bihar election will be held in two phases - on 6th November and 11th November, with the results to be announced on 14th November.
Among the key names, Jan Suraj fields Y.V. Giri for the Manjhi assembly seat, R.K. Mishra from Darbhanga, Ritesh Pandey from Kargahar, and K.C. Sinha from Patna's hot seat, Kumhrar. Engineer Rakesh is being considered for the Sultanganj seat in Bhagalpur, Neeraj Singh for Sheohar, Kishore Kumar Munnaji for Saharsa, J.P. Singh for Chhapra, and Chetna Jhamb for Samastipur.

In a recent interview, Kishor had said, “Elections should be contested from only two places — one’s birthplace or place of work. Based on my birthplace, I should contest from Sasaram’s Kargahar constituency; based on my workplace, I should contest from Raghopur.” This statement has fuelled speculation that his final decision may come down to political strategy rather than symbolism.
