No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
The investigation into the alleged municipal recruitment corruption case in West Bengal escalated significantly as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) extended its search operations to a restaurant owned by Samudra Bose, the son of State Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Bose.
The raid on the popular eatery, located in the Golaghata area of Kolkata, began early Friday morning, around 7:30 AM. ED officials, accompanied by a heavy contingent of central forces, initiated a detailed search of the premises. This operation was part of a broader action, with the ED simultaneously conducting raids at over 10 locations in the city, including Minister Bose’s office and other properties.
According to local sources, the search at the dhaba continued well past noon, indicating the thorough nature of the investigators' work. ED officials were reportedly examining various documents and pieces of information found within the restaurant.
