A bullet-ridden body found floating in the river near the Bogura camp area on December 10 created tension along the border. Security forces reached the spot after receiving information and recovered the body, which was then sent to the Jangipur Sub-Divisional Hospital for examination.
The medical team at the hospital has completed the post-mortem and confirmed that all investigation procedures are now closed. Officials said the body will be handed over to the Bangladesh Border Guard through a flag meeting following the completion of the report.
BSF has made full arrangements for the handover, which will take place at the border in the presence of security personnel from both countries. The swift coordination between forces has ensured that the process follows established protocol.
The discovery of the bullet-hit body has caused unrest in the border areas, though authorities from both sides acted promptly to manage the situation and maintain order.
