A late-night disturbance at the Bastian pub on St Mark's Road, co-owned by actor Shilpa Shetty, has led to a police probe after videos of the chaos went viral on social media. The CCTV clips, which surfaced online, show a heated argument among a group of customers around 1:30 am on December 11. Although the footage captures a visible argument and brief heckling, there were no physical assaults evident on camera.
Preliminary information suggests the dispute began over a trivial matter related to settling the bill, which quickly escalated until the pub staff intervened to bring the volatile situation under control. The investigation gained traction after the Central Division DCP confirmed that the police had taken suo motu cognisance of the incident.
Among those seen in the video was businessman and former Bigg Boss contestant Satya Naidu, who is also the ex-husband of a television anchor. Responding to the allegations, Naidu denied any wrongdoing, stating he was only having dinner with friends and the issue arose only while paying the bill, maintaining that no physical altercation took place.
