"Why no FIR against Amit Shah?" asks Abhishek as CID serves him fresh summon for June 16
The family of Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has been summoned by the Election Commission for a hearing during the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll. Notices have been sent to four family members, including the MP's elderly mother, her sister, and her two sons, Dr. Bishwanath and Dr. Baidyanath. While her mother and sister are voters in Madhyamgram, her sons are registered in Kolkata.
The summons is reportedly part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) hearing process starting this Saturday. It targets individuals whose records do not align with the 2002 voter list or those who failed to provide specific mapping details during the verification stage. The Commission aims to rectify discrepancies by verifying documents in person.
MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has lashed out at the Election Commission, labeling the move as "harassment." She questioned the impact on ordinary citizens if the families of public representatives are treated this way. The MP is expected to hold a press conference on Saturday afternoon to address the issue further.
