Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
Kolkata Police have issued a strict advisory for Saraswati Puja celebrations, emphasizing that no procession, rally, or parade will be allowed without prior permission. The use of DJs at Puja pandals is completely prohibited, and loudspeakers or sound systems must remain silent between 10 PM and 8 AM. Additionally, amplification near hospitals, nursing homes, courts, schools, colleges, and universities is strictly banned.
Authorities have warned that carrying sticks, rods, firearms, or explosives during Puja or immersion events is strictly forbidden. Any road blockages, damage to public property, or obstruction of emergency services such as ambulances or fire brigade vehicles will invite strict legal action. The police will closely monitor inflammatory speeches, slogans, or any activities that disturb social harmony.
The Kolkata Police have appealed to Puja committees, students, and the general public to comply with the rules and ensure celebrations are conducted in a peaceful and harmonious environment. The advisory aims to maintain public safety and prevent any disruption during the festive period.
