"Smaller parties shouldn't be prioritized": Sudip Bandyopadhyay hits at TMC
Several schools across Ahmedabad and Noida received bomb threat emails on Friday, triggering security alerts and precautionary closures just days before Republic Day on January 26. Authorities moved swiftly to ensure student safety while investigations were launched to verify the threats.
In Ahmedabad, multiple private schools reported receiving threatening emails. The crime branch deployed bomb squads and forensic teams to the affected campuses, with checks currently underway to rule out any explosive presence and assess the credibility of the threats.
In Noida, Shiv Nadar School received a bomb threat email, following which the school announced closure for the day. Students were sent back through school buses, and parents were asked to coordinate with bus staff for safe pick-ups as security sweeps were conducted.
Apart from Shiv Nadar School, Bal Bharati School and Cambridge School were also placed on alert. Cambridge School informed parents and asked them to collect their children as a precaution, while Bal Bharati School dismissed pre-primary classes and heightened security on campus.
Police said senior officers, bomb disposal teams, dog squads, fire services and local police units were deployed immediately at the concerned locations. Cyber teams have begun technical analysis of the emails, and officials said the situation remains under control while urging the public to avoid rumours.
