Ranchi Police continued their drive against loitering and drug abuse by conducting a late-night raid near a hill temple in the Sukhdev Nagar police station area, leading to the arrest of four youths. The action was taken following repeated complaints from local residents regarding suspicious activities in and around the temple premises.
According to reports, police had been receiving frequent inputs about youths gathering at the hill temple and allegedly indulging in drug abuse, especially during late hours. Taking the complaints seriously, the administration decided to initiate a targeted operation to curb such activities and restore public order.
A special team was constituted under the leadership of Sadar SDO Kumar Rajat. With support from the Sukhdev Nagar police station, the team conducted raids at the temple and nearby locations late on Monday night. During the operation, four youths were caught and taken into custody for loitering and drug-related activities. Officials stated that the arrested youths have been strictly warned against engaging in such illegal acts in the future. The administration also made it clear that similar actions will continue to ensure the safety, dignity, and sanctity of religious sites and public places across the city.
