Panic gripped the Asansol District and Sessions Court after the District Judge received a threatening email claiming that a bomb had been planted inside the court premises and would be detonated after namaz. The message triggered immediate alarm within the court complex, prompting swift action from the police administration.
Upon receiving the information, bomb squad and dog squad teams were deployed to the Asansol court premises, and an intensive search operation was launched. The entire court complex was cordoned off as security personnel began a thorough inspection to rule out any explosive device. Court activities were affected as precautionary measures were put in place.
Dhruv Das, Deputy Commissioner of the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate, reached the spot and reviewed the security arrangements. Police officials stated that the situation is being closely monitored and that the matter is being investigated with utmost seriousness to trace the source of the threatening email.
