Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
Singer-rapper Badshah has become the latest high-profile target of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following the release of his new track 'Tateeree,' which faced intense criticism for allegedly offensive lyrics regarding women and minors, the gang issued a chilling death threat via a social media post. The purported Facebook message warned the artist that he would be "shot in the forehead" for his perceived role in damaging the traditional culture of Haryana.
The threat explicitly references a 2024 explosion that occurred outside Badshah’s Chandigarh-based club, the Seville Bar and Lounge. At that time, Goldy Brar—a Canada-based terrorist associate of Lawrence Bishnoi—had claimed responsibility for the blast. In the current post, gang members describe that past incident as a mere "trailer," signaling a more direct and lethal intent for their next move against the rapper if he does not "mend his ways."
Beyond the direct threat to Badshah, alleged gang members Randeep Malik and Anil Pandit claimed responsibility for a recent firing incident at a Western Union office in Panipat. They alleged the business was involved in illegal Hawala operations that harm the national economy. The post warned that the Panipat shooting serves as a final warning to others involved in money laundering, promising "dire consequences" for those who continue their operations.
