“Petrol and diesel crisis developing worldwide” says PM Modi warns in 132nd Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday cautioned that a petrol and diesel crisis is developing across the world due to ongoing conflicts in major energy-producing regions. Speaking during the 132nd episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister said global instability has begun affecting fuel supply and energy security.

Referring to the evolving global situation, Modi noted that the month of March had been marked by major international developments and conflicts in different regions. He pointed out that many had hoped the world would move steadily toward progress after the COVID-19 pandemic, but new geopolitical tensions have continued to disrupt global stability.

Highlighting the impact of the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the Prime Minister described the region as a major hub for the world’s energy supply. He said the conflict has begun to affect fuel availability, leading to concerns about a growing global petrol and diesel crisis. Modi, however, asserted that India is confronting these challenges through strong international relations and strategic preparedness built over the past decade.

During the address, Modi also urged citizens and political leaders not to politicise the issue and warned against spreading rumours related to fuel shortages. Calling the situation challenging, he appealed for national unity and vigilance, expressing confidence that the country would overcome the difficulties through collective efforts.
